TREE CANOPY

Tree Canopy is a proposed market hall pavilion that celebrates the materiality of mass timber with an organic and dynamic form. The form is comprised of a five massive timber beams that spring forth from the concrete, undulate, split before descending into the ground.

The design utilized grasshopper scripting to panelize the roofing form. Karamba and Ladybug plug-ins were also used to analyze the structural loads at play and the solar shading properties of the form.
